We carry out periodic inspection reports for various organisations.
These are very important documents and are often required for mortgage and insurance purposes. They detail the condition of the fixed electrical installation of the property, and if carried out at set intervals, give valuable information as to the degradation of the fixed wiring.
It is recommended that periodic inspections and testing of electrical installations are carried out to ensure the installation is in sound working order, and that no one is in danger of electric shock and there is no fire risk to property.
In order to assess the condition of an installation a number of tests are required and the readings to be recorded on the appropriate documentation, as found in the 17th edition wiring regulations BS7671.
In order to carry out the tests, test equipment approved to BS 7671 must be used, And persons carrying out the test should be competent to do so to City & Guilds 2391 Inspection, Testing & Certification
